Wunderbar…Diese Phantasie

A site about Justin (that's me :P) who lives in a sort-of-city-ish town in Oregon. These are my everyday rants that are used as cheap therap...I mean, my life. :D It's fun! ... Sometimes. :/ Moo

KumoriCon Bai Bai

I'm back from KumoriCon, yay! Now I have to get to work and prepare for college. :P Whee....I guess. T-T I have mixed feelings still, but my roommate seems really cool, and I think I'll have at least one friend when I move up there, anyway. ^_^ KumoriCon was a blast and I'll upload some of my digital photo pics. The PSP thing sort of fell through because I couldn't access the Doubletree Inn's wifi connection because they wanted monies. @_@ D'oh!

PSP War-Walking

I took my PSP to a wifi enabled coffee shop today. While I couldn't connect to their network with it, probably for reasons that elude me, I did do some war-walking (I didn't have a car to drive. :P) around Roseburg, OR, and found several WEP encrypted connections and a few none encrypted ones, too. Did you know that the local Beef & Brew has an unencrypted wifi network? :/ Nor did I. XD While over at Stewart Parkway Pharmacy, however, I found an unencrypted linksys connection and used it to download the update to PSP firmware version 2.0. :D I would have installed the update there, but I didn't have my AC adaptor with me. :P I wonder if you can access peoples files on the PSP? I'll have to test this once I arrive in Portland tomorrow. :D The update is really cool, though, and I think it's worth loosing the emulations over. :P Yay for themes, browser, and and Korean! XD Or something. :P Go gif?

KumoriCon --or-- Connect Tech?

I will be in Portland, OR from September 2-5. :3 However, I'll try to update my blog on MySpace at least once a day using the power of my PSP with firmware version 2.0! :D It includes a web browser, so I'll spend twenty-five minutes to complete a paragraph, whee! Just read it. :P I'll be blogging about, you guessed it, KumoriCon! :D YAY! It's a giant anime/manga/videogame convention. :P I'll be cosplaying as Sora from Kingdom Hearts, so look out for that! :D I might even include pictures in my posts, if I can figure out how to do that with a PSP. -_- Just look out for some nifty updates. :3

Farewell, Sherm's

Yesterday, August 25, 2005, was my last day working as Courtesy Clerk Justin. T-T How sad. And I really am, too! I just started to like the job, just started to really get to know everyone, just started to like the heat. The money wasn't too bad, either! I told the lady at K-Mart that this was my last day and she offered to give me anything on the counter for free, or a soda pop for free. I go to the K-Mart cafeteria to eat everyday--a salad and ice water for 99 center--but yesterday she gave me a cookie for free. :3 She forgot to give me my water yesterday, though, so when I was done with the salad, etc., I asked her for a water cup and then told her I was leaving; so she gave me the free cookie before she even knew I was leaving! :D Another woman normally works there, and I told her to tell the other woman thank you for me, as well. :3 She said she appreciated it and wished me luck in college! :D I'm happy. ^_^

Yesterday was really great. I bought a basketball for 75 cents and had some people sign it. I say some people because by the time I could have people sign it, it was 9 P.M. XD I had a guy named Steve sign it, he's a pretty cool guy, and another named Ricky and ... I guess his wife. XD He got off at 7 that day and was shopping. So I caught them at the register and had them sign my ball. :P He said he's going to be professional one day, so that'd be cool! :D While I was bagging my groceries I lost a bandaid. I thought digging through their groceries would look a little suspicious, so I just let them find it. :/ I was also offered another dollar for helping a woman lift her water into her car. We are selling Crystal Geyser 35 pack bottled waters for $4.26, or something. :P They weigh quite a bit, and whenever I see one, either in the store trying to leave, or in the parking lot, I offer to help them with their waters. :3 And everyone really appreciates it! I can't see how some of them lifted it into their carts in the first place. ^^ And one even said that, too! ^_^ There are a lot more, but I'm happy about everything. I loved working at Sherm's, and it really is the best place to work; the sign outside doesn't lie! :D Hopefully I can come back sometime. :3 I miss it already.

So Happy, Chi. :3

Yesterday was one of the best days working at Sherm's, ever! :P While I was wrangling the carts back into the corral, a little kids stops at a cart and says, "I remember you." I look quizzically at him, then at his father, who also has a questioning expression--and one a bit appologetic, too--plastered on his face. "I remember you; you came to my school, Glide Elementary, and you sang. You were pretty good." O_O I sang and I was pretty good? And I left a big enough impression in his little soul to have him remember me after all this time?! T_T It was very nice feeling, yes? I was so happy and amazed and shocked; I could have cried! We gave each other a high-five and then he followed his dad into the store. I had a huge grin on my face for a while afterwards. It was great. All in all, it was a very nice day. :3

Pae-Pae! T_T

Boo hoo, my friend Pae-Pae Pae after Senior Banquet... went back home to Thailand today. T_T So sad. I never got to say good bye! >_< I'll write you Pae! T_T boo hoo, sad day. Tomorrow my host cousin Angela leaves, so I will have to call her tonight and say good bye! It's very sad, boo hoo. I want to see them. T_T I also graduated on the 12th and started my job at Sherm's on the 14th of June. :P Whee! OK, bai bai...

Senior Banquet and SOU

Edit: Sorry about the image formatting, I'll fix it later, d'oh. >_<

Here are some photos from Senior Banquet and my SOU campus tour. For some reason my digital camera deleted half of my Senior Banquet photos before I could upload them. T_T I'm so sad! T_______T;; A student that graduated last year was killed in a car wreck today. He was about three miles up the road from me and a very important piece of the Glide community and school. It was terribly sad to have them announce it during our banquet. Lots of people were crying; he was a good kid and I can't believe that he's gone, either.

Darth Vader blow up doll on top of Burger King. We got Big Kids' Meals and Star Wars toys and crowns. Awesome! A sign in the Student Resource Center...or some building...it also housed the bookstore. d'oh! I thought it looked neat.
A strange mural of sorts that was inside the Computer Science Lab area place. :P It looked nice inside, and that wall decoration was nice, too! The Hannon Library, or something. It just had its grand opening the day before we got there, May 19, 2005. :P It looked really nice on the outside and clean on the inside. Very posh, or something...
A very nice, old building that had some neat quotations written above the entryways of the structure. I can't remember any right now, though. T_T A hedge that says SOU on it, how ingenious! I had to take a picture. :P And I did, too!
My friend, Bear, who I met in a some candy shop at the Rouge Valley Mall in Medford, Oregon. :P It was pretty fun there, but some of the shops were really stinky! I mean they literally smelled bad. T_T So sad. Me holding up an interpretted world or life cycle, whilst a fish dances around it...in the same perimeter....boo!
I forgot the name of this mountain, but it sounded cool... I didn't even know there were these types of mountains in Oregon. I thought they were only found in places over east, or something. :3

Peace Pae
