A Quicky ^-~ {wink}

    OK, so I thought I'd just add the link to my picture...or, I guess, just direct link it. O_O I drew this after reading the comic book "X-Men Pheonix End Song." T-T I loves the X-Men. :P The picture can be find at http://home.1asphost.com/schokolade/abenteuer/pheonix.jpg, or right below you! :D Enjoy and tell me what you think, I guess. ^^

Why? Am I the Pheonix really.

I'm alive. Ich lebe. =D

    Well, to recap a couple of months, I won first place in our local VFW Voice of Democracy Oral Essay contest and received $100. That was in December, tonight was the district competition, which was predetermined in December. ^^ I got 3rd place, a freshman from Elkton got 2nd, and a senior from Oakland got 1st. We received certificates as well as $200, $300, and $500, respectively. 1st place gets to travel to Newport (expenses paid) for the state competition and, no matter what, they receive $200. @_@ So that is almost $800 that girl has received/will receive, and possibly even more if she can advance further. But back to my recap. ^_~
    November left pretty quickly. We did a couple more choir concerts in December, one for N.U.R.D. (the North Umpqua Ranger District), the Mormon church, and for school district wide winter concert. This included the elementary, middle, and high school band and choirs, as well as the soloists within those groups. It was a lot of fun, but, although I hate to admit it, we did a little better while practicing out in the cold than we did during the actual performance. :3 It's all good, though. ^_^
    December was pretty pleasant. December 11, I took my ACTs, and I think I will get a pretty good score...once they arrive! >_O It's been four weeks, dang-it! T-T And, unlike the SAT website, which I have the SAT II on January 22, the ACT website charges you 8$ JUST to see your scores before they arrive in the mail. >_< That's irksome. Christmas came, it wasn't lame, I didn't get a pony (a pink pony, with green headlights). :3 I did get some nice schwag...does that mean stuff? Spiderman 2 and Kill Bill ... just to name 2. ^.~
    The first Friday announcing the beginning of Christmas Vacation, I helped my friend and his mom cater the Safeway Employee party. ^^ We served food and collected plates. :3 We got about $36 each, so it wasn't so bad. :3 The day after that, I volunteered at the Salvation Army organizing toys into the sections that were marked on the packages...would take too long to explain. XD ANYway, I helped again on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. :3 I got a haircut on Monday, otherwise I would have been there again. ^^ It was a lot of fun, and it realy did give me a better appreciation for charity, the holiday zeitgeist, and of what the Salvation Army really is. It was a great experience and, if I get to come back here next year, I'll help out again, for sure. :3 Plus, it got my muscles pumped up. O_O Well, for at least the first couple of days they got a little plumper. T-T Stop looking at me!
    New Year's Eve was OK. I had a friend over, and I guess we had fun. ^^ We ate a lot, which we always do when he comes over. >_< I get tired of it because I'm stuffed, but he has two hollow legs and a bottomless stomach of DOO~M! O_O He bought it on eBay. :3
    January has been nice, so far. The weather has been a little snowy and cold. T-T Around 3 degrees Celcius, or 38 degrees Fehrenheit. :P And speaking of Fehrenheit, we're getting a new German exchange student next semester...in about two weeks. ^_^ We'll also receive someone from Kyrzykstan and Brazil...I think that Russian province/break-away-state-thingy is correct...eep. ANYway, January is nice. We have a HUGE history test that I have study for not in the least. T-T I need to, though, but so much is going on. I sent my Harvard application in December, am finishing my DigiPen application, and mailed the FAFSA January 3. So at least i got something right. ^_^ I need to finish the ALTRUSA and Elk's Lodge scholarships, but they are so assenine that my brain go dumb dumb. X_O Eep.
    ANYway, I got some ganz Prima comics on Saturday while browsing the free books at the library. ^_^ I got the first two comics of WE3, one of PvP Player vs. Player, and the first X-Men End Games Pheonix ... thingy. :3 I love the artwork, it's AMAZING! And I love the Pheonix storyline and this is a new perspective on the event for me. Since I've only seen what the '90s cartoon show gave me. ^^ Yes, the one with Jubilee. :/ Wakka wakka. I can spit fireworks from my hands, ARG! >_O
